Alex Berg is a semi-professional driver competing in single-class open-wheel racing across both American and British championships. He races for Fortec Motorsports in British F4, the series where he has recorded his most starts. Berg holds two championships: the 2021 NASA Spec MX-5 title and the 2022 SCCA Regionals championship.[1]
Berg's record spans six seasons from 2021 to 2026 across seven series, accumulating 103 starts with 11 wins and 22 podiums. His breakthrough came in 2021, when he won both the NASA Spec MX-5 championship and took four wins from limited starts in SCCA Regionals competition. He moved into US F4 in 2022 with Doran Motorsports Group and scored a win alongside eight podiums over two seasons. His transition to British F4 in 2024 brought a single win from 27 starts, and he has since raced in GB4, where he holds a win and two podiums from 11 starts. He currently competes in USF Juniors and the Ligier JS F4 Series, with nine and two starts respectively in 2026.[2]
In British F4, a mixed amateur and professional field, Berg typically finishes behind established professionals including Reza Seewooruthun, who races at the professional level across multiple formula championships, and Martin Molnar, a 58-start British F4 veteran. His most significant result came against Connor Zilisch, an FIA Gold-graded driver and multiple NASCAR champion with 45 Xfinity starts and 29 NASCAR Cup Series entries, whom Berg finished ahead of once in Whelen Mazda competition. He has also beaten Ernesto Rivera, an established professional who has raced Formula 3.
