In a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals, Farahmand ran as a club-level regular. He was closely matched with John Dimoff, another club driver and frequent opponent, and typically finished behind Allan Lewis, also club-level. He beat the semi-professional Bronze-graded driver Cory Deeds once across their meetings and occasional finishes ahead of Robert Chang, a competitive amateur with significantly more BMW CCA starts than his own.
