Andrew Kelleher raced in NASA's multiclass championship during 2009, driving a spec Mazda MX-5 Miata in the Spec Miata Challenge class. He was a developing-level driver competing in a field that mixed amateur, semi-professional and graded professional entrants across its 15 classes.[1]
Kelleher made three starts in the series and finished 28th in the championship standings. Among his regular opponents were Michael Porter, a semi-professional with extensive experience in NASA and Ferrari Challenge racing, whom Kelleher beat on two occasions, and Trevor McCallion, a competitive amateur with over 200 NASA starts, against whom he typically finished behind.[2]
