Andy Hansen was a club-level driver who raced Porsches in PCA Club Racing between 2004 and 2016, competing across the D, G and GT5S classes in the national multiclass championship. He accumulated 12 wins and 23 podiums across 33 starts over his eight seasons on record, finishing fourth in the championship standings in his final active season of 2016.[1]
Hansen typically finished ahead of developing driver Brent Asplundh, who had raced far more extensively in the series with 75 starts. He was closely matched against fellow club-level driver Ken Nielsen across their meetings. Among stronger opposition, he beat entry-level professional Anton Dias Pereira, who held an FIA Bronze grade and had combined PCA Club Racing with IMSA Pilot Challenge competition, twice in their head-to-heads; he also beat competitive amateur Ken Agena six times despite Agena's much longer record in the series and additional endurance racing.[2]
