Robert Turgeon is a competitive amateur racer with a Racer Rating of 1,660, placing him among club and regional competitors. His career spans ten seasons in American Endurance Racing from 2015 to 2025, during which he has scored eight wins and nineteen podiums across forty-four starts. He averages a finishing position of P4.5 when classified, indicating consistent mid-field competitiveness in his chosen series.[1]
Turgeon's head-to-head record against his most frequent rivals shows mixed results typical of this level of racing. Against Mike Dipillo, a multiple-time American Endurance Racing Class 4 champion, Turgeon finished ahead in six of fourteen shared races but trailed in eight. He holds a similar split against Matt Ivey, another Class 4 champion, finishing ahead seven times and behind six times in thirteen meetings. Against Alex Rubenstein, a three-time Class 4 champion and a considerably stronger driver at the semi-professional level, Turgeon finished ahead only five times in thirteen races. His most consistent head-to-head advantage comes against John Ryan Lewis, a two-time Class 3 champion, whom he beat in eleven of thirteen shared races. Turgeon has occasionally finished ahead of substantially stronger drivers from higher classifications; he beat FIA Silver-graded professional Carter Fartuch twice and FIA Bronze-graded Gregory Liefooghe once, though these remain isolated results rather than patterns of dominance.
Currently active in 2025, Turgeon remains competitive in American Endurance Racing, securing one win and one podium in two rounds so far this season. His career represents the profile of a dedicated amateur racer who competes consistently at the club level and can occasionally trouble more established competitors but does not maintain a winning record against them.
