Ben Foltz is a developing driver competing in regional and club-level motorsport, with a Racer Rating of 843. This places him at the entry level of competitive racing; he is learning his craft against amateurs and semi-professionals in fields where the typical competitor sits well below the national championship front-runner level. Three seasons of racing from 2024 to 2026 have produced 39 starts across SCCA regional competition and American Endurance Racing, with two podiums in endurance racing but no wins anywhere.[1]

Foltz has raced primarily against semi-professional rivals in the SCCA Regionals, a field populated by drivers in the 1,500 to 2,000 rating band. His head-to-head record against these regulars is heavily one-sided; he has finished behind Theodore Cahall, a three-time SCCA Regionals STL champion, in 14 of 16 shared races, and behind John Jenkins, another professional-level driver, in 14 of 15 starts. Robert Cahall, the most frequent rival, has beaten him 19 times in 24 races. Foltz's average finishing position of 13th place reflects consistent mid-field running in these fields. His two podiums came in American Endurance Racing in 2025, where he reached the second step of the podium twice across four starts. Most recent activity in the 2026 SCCA Regionals saw him finish 10th across eight rounds.

Foltz has occasionally finished ahead of much stronger drivers, including Henry Taylor, a professional sportscar pilot rated at elite level; Marcello Paniccia, an established professional; and Christian Sarnecki, a 2022 SCCA Regionals champion. These isolated results, however, do not form a pattern and appear as one-off occurrences in otherwise lopsided head-to-head records. He remains active in 2026 and continues to race in regional competition.
