Bertil Roos was a Swedish racing driver who made a single Formula 1 start at his home Grand Prix in 1974, driving for Shadow. He retired from that race with transmission failure and did not score points. His career on record comprised only that one Grand Prix appearance, placing him among drivers with minimal top-level exposure.[1]
After his brief Formula 1 venture, Roos moved into driver instruction and education. He founded the Bertil Roos Racing School, which became established enough to attract acquisition interest; the school was acquired by IRG Sports and Entertainment in 2017. His subsequent work in motorsport instruction represents a common path for drivers whose competitive careers were limited, channelling their racing knowledge and experience into coaching the next generation.[2]
