Bill Skillman is a developing driver racing in SVRA, a national multiclass championship in the United States where six classes share the track in a single race. He drives in the Group 6 8 12 and Group 8 classes and is in his second season of indexed racing with the series.[1]

Skillman has taken three wins and five podiums from 25 starts across the 2025 and 2026 seasons. He currently sits third in the 2026 SVRA championship standings with 14 rounds completed and more still to come. His strongest result came against Jeff Mosing, the 2025 SVRA Group 8 champion, whom he has beaten once; Mosing holds FIA Bronze grading and has raced extensively in IMSA Pilot Challenge and Porsche Carrera Cup NA as well as SVRA.[2]

Skillman races regularly against Steve Yarborough, a developing driver with 65 SVRA starts, and they are closely matched. He also meets Ara Malkhassian, a semi-professional with experience in Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, SVRA and NASA racing, whom Skillman has beaten twice but usually finishes behind in head-to-head meetings. His record against stronger professional and semi-professional opposition remains sparse, with wins concentrated among competitors at his own level and below.
