BJ Farmer raced in national amateur multiclass motorsport series in the United States, competing in BMW CCA Club Racing and NASA between 2007 and 2010. He drove BMWs in the IP class of BMW CCA Club Racing and German sports cars in NASA's GTS3 class. His career totalled 15 starts across both series.[1]
Farmer took three wins and eight podiums over four seasons. He won once in his first year, 2007, in BMW CCA Club Racing, and added two wins and six podiums across thirteen NASA starts between 2008 and 2010. His final season, 2010, brought one podium from a single NASA round and a twentieth-place finish in the championship standings.[2]
Farmer raced against club-level regulars in fields mixing amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals. He typically finished behind Jay Matus, a NASA regular with 27 starts in that series, and ran closely matched with Robert Cohen, who had raced NASA and club racing at developing level. He beat Vernon Anderson, a prolific BMW CCA Club Racing driver with 63 starts in that series, once, and finished ahead of Sean Garrity on one occasion.
