Rene Molina is a club-level driver racing solo in national multiclass championships in the United States. His primary series is SCCA Majors, where he drives a tube-frame silhouette GT car in the GT2 class and has competed since 2022. He has also raced in NASA's GTS3 class, SCCA Regionals, and International GT's CAY3.8 class, and has a single start in the 2026 Trans-Am TA Sprint season so far.[1]
Across 43 starts since 2009, Molina has taken one win and 18 podiums. His win came in SCCA Majors, where he has recorded 16 podiums from 32 starts over five seasons. In NASA he scored a podium from six starts in 2009, and he took another from a single Regionals start in 2022. His record in the higher-profile International GT multiclass event was a single start without a finish.[2]
In SCCA Majors, Molina typically finishes ahead of developing-level drivers and runs closely matched against club-level regulars. He has beaten the 2026 IMSA Pilot Challenge GS champion Stevan McAleer once and the entry-level professional Jonathan Browne, who has competed in Indy NXT and GB3, on at least one occasion.
