Don Yount is an entry-level professional competing in multiclass endurance racing, primarily in IMSA's national American series and the international 24H Series. He holds an FIA Bronze rating, which sits below the Silver and Gold grades of established professionals. His main team through most of his career has been BAR1 Motorsports, where he completed eighteen of his forty-nine career starts in prototype and GT machinery.[1]

Across twelve seasons from 2015 to 2026, Yount has taken three wins and twelve podiums from forty-nine starts. The majority of his racing has been in IMSA WeatherTech, the top-tier domestic prototype championship, where he made thirty-one starts over eight years and recorded one win and nine podiums for NTE/SSR. His most recent activity came in the World Endurance Championship in 2023, a single start that placed him twenty-fourth in the season standings. Two of his three career wins came in 2025 and 2026 in the 24H Series, a multiclass endurance championship mixing amateurs with graded professionals across thirteen countries; both victories came in Leipert Motorsport's GTX-class entry.[2]

In IMSA WeatherTech, Yount typically finishes behind established opponents such as John Potter and Andy Lally, a Gold-graded professional with experience in NASCAR's national series. He has on occasion finished ahead of stronger drivers; he beat elite professional Kyle Kirkwood three times across their meetings in WeatherTech, and finished ahead of Pato O'Ward, an IndyCar regular and two-time champion, once in the same series.
