Martin Cain is a developing driver racing in NASA, a national multiclass championship that runs fifteen classes on the same track, mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals. Cain raced the BMW M3 in the GTS classes and Super Touring 1 between 2007 and 2014, accumulating nineteen starts over five seasons before retiring.[1]
Across that span he took three wins and nine podiums. His championship finish came in 2014, when he placed nineteenth in the year-end standings from a single round entered. His record against the drivers he faced most often was mixed; he ran closely with Robert Cohen, another developing driver who shares his NASA background, but typically finished behind Jay Matus, a club-level regular. He occasionally beat more experienced drivers such as Mark Klenin, a competitive amateur with a Bronze licence and forty-five NASA starts, and Colin Cohen, a club driver with extensive racing across NASA, SVRA and Trans-Am.[2]
