Carson Etter is a semi-professional driver competing in Indy NXT with Chip Ganassi Racing, racing a single-seater against a field mixing amateurs through established professionals. His career spans five seasons from 2022 to 2026, with 62 starts across USF2000, Indy NXT, USF Pro 2000, and SCCA regional and major championships in open-wheel formula cars.[1]
Etter finished 19th in the 2024 USF2000 standings after 15 rounds. He has won twice, both in SCCA Regionals competition, and taken nine podiums across his career, including results in the SCCA multiclass platform where he raced assorted winged open-wheel formula cars across its FX, F4 and FC classes. His step to Indy NXT in 2026 represents a move into a higher-category national championship with the established Ganassi operation.[2]
Against his most frequent competitors, Etter typically finishes behind Max Garcia and Max Taylor, both of whom have won titles in USF2000 and USF Pro 2000 and are now established professionals in Indy NXT.
