Chris Daughtery is a club-level driver who raced in SCCA national competition from 2021 to 2023. He competed in the B-Spec class, which runs near-stock economy hatchbacks in multiclass sprint racing across SCCA Majors, Regionals and Runoffs events.[1]
Daughtery took two wins across his career. He won once in SCCA Majors and once in SCCA Regionals, where he started only once; he added two further podiums in Majors to finish with four podium finishes from ten starts. His most recent appearance came at the 2023 SCCA Runoffs.[2]
In the field, Daughtery raced against competitive amateurs including Riley Salyer, who won the 2022 SCCA Majors B-Spec championship, and Josh Schmidt, the 2025 B-Spec champion. He beat Salyer once over their head-to-head meetings and finished ahead of Schmidt three times across their races together. He ran closely matched against Chris Taylor, another competitive amateur and frequent opponent, and usually finished ahead of Stephanie Andersen, a club-level driver who raced similarly broad SCCA experience.
