Chris Strand is a developing driver racing in national multiclass sprint racing. He competes in the SRF3 class, piloting a one-design Spec Racer Ford, across SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors championships where he shares the track with a mixed field of amateur and semi-professional entrants alongside graded professionals.[1]
Over four seasons beginning in 2022, Strand has accumulated 37 starts. He spent his first season in SCCA Regionals before moving into SCCA Majors in 2024 and continuing to race both series. In 2026, his current season, he sits 92nd in SCCA Regionals standings with two rounds complete so far.[2]
The regular opponents he faces, Lee Douglas and Tom Burt, both of whom have substantially more starts in these series, typically finish ahead of him. Strand has beaten the 2025 SCCA Runoffs SRF3 champion Caleb Shrader in at least one meeting, and has also beaten entry-level professional Christian Guirguis in individual races against a field where results depend heavily on qualifying position and racecraft in single-driver competition.
