Craig Froeter was a developing amateur racer competing in the SCCA Majors, a national multiclass championship in which up to 25 classes race together on the same track. He drove a Spec Racer Ford in the SRF3 class, which runs single-design sports racers in solo sprint racing. His only indexed season was 2021, when he made five starts across the SCCA Majors calendar and finished 67th in the season standings.[1]
In the SRF3 field, Froeter typically finished behind his regular competitors. He usually ran behind Colin Kaminsky, an entry-level professional with experience in Indy Pro 2000, Indy NXT and Porsche Carrera Cup racing, and behind Joshua Hansen, a semi-professional Silver-graded driver who has also raced the SCCA Runoffs. Froeter's most notable results came against Bobby Sak, the back-to-back SCCA Runoffs SRF3 champion in 2020 and 2021, whom he beat once, and against Jean-Luc Liverato, a competitive amateur with 36 SCCA Majors starts, whom he also outfinished once.[2]
