🏳️ Marc Briley

Marc Briley is a developing amateur racing spec Mazda MX-5 Miatas in national multiclass sprint championships across the United States. His primary series are SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, both of which mix amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals on the same grid.[1]

Briley has raced since 2009, though most of his activity has concentrated in the past six seasons. He has started 15 times in SCCA Majors between 2021 and 2026, taking one podium from those starts. His record in SCCA Regionals since 2024 has been stronger; he has one win and four podiums from four starts in that series. A brief stint in NASA's multiclass championship in the mid-2010s yielded four starts without a podium. So far in 2026 he sits 47th in the SCCA Regionals championship standings with two podiums from two rounds completed to date.[2]

Briley races most regularly against entry-level professionals and other developing drivers. He usually finishes behind Logan Stretch, an entry-level professional with over a hundred starts in SCCA Majors and fourteen in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup. Against Brian Slater, another developing driver, the two are closely matched. Briley has taken podiums ahead of Taylor Hagler, an entry-level professional and two-time IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion, and Sally Mott, a 2026 World Racing League GTO National and East champion; both were isolated results rather than sustained patterns.
