🇺🇸 David Maher

David Maher is a club-level racing driver whose rating of 885 places him in the developing category; this describes a driver with too few races on record to have moved beyond entry-level competition. His recorded racing career consisted of two starts in American Endurance Racing in 2016, yielding no wins or podiums and a final position of P132 in the series.[1]

The limited data from those two races shows Maher finishing ahead of several drivers with notably stronger credentials, including Andrew Wikstrom, an FIA Silver graded driver and two-time American Endurance Racing class champion; Greg Miceli; Carl Becker; and Jason Marks, who won the 2019 American Endurance Racing Class 4 championship. One competitive result against established drivers does not establish a pattern, but it indicates Maher was capable of mixing with professional-level endurance racers in his brief time on track. Maher has been retired from racing since 2016.[2]

Maher is known outside motorsport for his involvement in endurance driving records; he and writer Alexander Roy broke the US transcontinental Cannonball Run record in 2007, a feat documented in the 2019 film APEX: The Secret Race Across America.
