Davy Jones is a retired American racing driver who competed primarily in open-wheel and endurance racing during his career. Jones made his racing debut in Formula 3 Macau in 1983, driving for Murray Taylor Racing. During that season, he recorded one start in the prestigious street circuit event but did not achieve a podium finish, completing the race in sixteenth position.[1]
Beyond his early single-seater efforts, Jones went on to establish himself in endurance racing, most notably securing victory at the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans as part of a three-driver lineup alongside Alexander Wurz and Manuel Reuter. This achievement represented the pinnacle of his racing career and contributed to his lasting legacy in motorsport competition despite limited success in his Formula 3 campaign.[2]
