Dmitri Novikov is a club-level driver, FIA Bronze-graded, who raced solo in the GTSU class of NASA, a national multiclass championship that runs unrestricted German cars, mostly M3s and Porsche Cup cars, together with amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals on the same track. He is retired from competition.[1]
Across three seasons, from 2022 to 2024, Novikov made seven starts in NASA, taking five wins and six podiums. His 2024 campaign was his strongest: from five rounds raced that year he won four times and took five podiums, finishing first in the championship standings to secure the 2024 NASA title.[2]
Novikov's most frequent opponents in GTSU were AL Tiley, a club-level driver and 2018 NASA GTSU champion with extensive mileage in both NASA and PCA Club Racing, and John McInnes, a 2023 NASA GTSU and PCA Club Racing GTA3 champion. Novikov usually finished ahead of both. He also beat Mark Klenin, a competitive amateur and FIA Bronze-graded driver who won the 2011 NASA GTS4 title, on one occasion.
