Heinly's single podium came during his final season of racing in 2020, when he took part in two rounds and finished 43rd in the championship standings. His career was spent in a field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals, where he remained closely matched against club-level regulars such as Benny Chong and Assen Rachev, who had won the Class 2 championship in 2017.[2]
