John McInnes is a club-level driver who raced in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass endurance championships in the United States. He competed in NASA's GTSU class, driving a Porsche GT3 Cup car, and in PCA Club Racing's GTA3 class across three seasons from 2022 to 2024 before retiring.[1]
McInnes took three wins and 15 podiums from 19 starts across both series. He won the 2023 PCA Club Racing championship, finishing the season undefeated in the points standings with two wins and six podiums from six rounds. In NASA he accumulated one win and nine podiums from 13 starts in the GTSU class over three seasons. His record against regular opponents was consistent; he finished ahead of Gregg Esakoff and David Bradshaw in head-to-head racing across multiple meetings in both series.[2]
His best result against stronger competition came against Alexandra Hainer, an entry-level professional and FIA Bronze-graded driver who won the 2025 McLaren Trophy America Pro-Am championship, whom McInnes beat once in PCA Club Racing. He also finished ahead of AL Tiley, a club-level driver with 43 combined starts in NASA and PCA Club Racing, in three separate races.
