🏳️ Stephen Johnson

Stephen Johnson is a club-level driver competing in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass championships in the United States. He races production-based street cars in SCCA Regional and Major events, where he has been most active, alongside occasional appearances in NASA competition and the SCCA Runoffs. His primary machinery across these series has been small-bore tuner cars and near-stock street cars classed by power-to-weight or engine displacement.[1]

Over six seasons from 2014 to 2025, Johnson has recorded 26 starts across four series, taking 5 wins and 16 podiums. The bulk of his activity has come in SCCA Regionals, where he holds 2 wins and 8 podiums from 13 starts, and SCCA Majors, where he has 3 wins and 7 podiums from 11 starts. He appeared once in NASA competition in 2014, taking a podium in the Mazda Miata class, and made a single Runoffs appearance in 2021.[2]

Johnson typically finishes ahead of club-level regulars such as Jake Anton and James Dianto in SCCA Majors competition. He has also beaten entry-level professional drivers; he finished ahead of Mikey Taylor, the 2024 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion, once across their meetings, and of Samantha Tan, a 2024 GT World Challenge America Pro-Am champion, on one occasion in shared competition.
