Eraldo Della Santa was a competitive amateur driver whose single-season record places him in club and regional racing tier, with a Racer Rating of 2,723. His career consisted of one start in the Star Mazda Championship in 2003, where he finished 27th in the field and did not score a point.[1]
In that sole appearance, Della Santa finished ahead of two drivers with substantially stronger credentials: Brian Theines, a professional-level driver rated 3,851, and Mishael Abbott, a semi-professional rated 3,191. While these victories over more experienced competitors are isolated results rather than demonstrating sustained competitive advantage, they show the driver was capable of competitive performances against established racing drivers in a limited racing engagement.
Della Santa's career ended after 2003 with no championships or wins to his name, leaving him a developing driver in the formal classification terms; his single race and lack of podium finishes provide minimal data on his actual potential in racing.
