Finn Unteroberdörster is a retired German driver with a rating of 1,236, placing him in the developing category; this denotes a driver with too few races on record to have moved beyond entry level. His career consisted of two starts in the Nürburgring 24 Hours between 2019 and 2022, racing for Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe. He recorded one win and two podium finishes across those starts, finishing on average in second place.[1]
Unteroberdörster's limited record makes meaningful assessment difficult. His single victory came in an event that fields drivers across multiple skill levels, and the calibre of rivals he beat, Jacques Derenne, an FIA Bronze graded amateur; Oliver Sprungmann; Chen Jian Hong; and Naoki Kawamura, another Bronze graded driver, reflects the nature of endurance racing, where professional-level drivers share grids with amateurs. He held an FIA Silver categorisation, denoting professional-level standing within sportscar and endurance racing, typically applied to young or early-career drivers in that discipline. With only two race starts recorded, his career remains underdeveloped before his retirement.
