🇩🇪 Luca Engstler

Luca Engstler is an established professional racing driver at FIA Gold grade, the senior level in endurance and GT competition. He races in GT World Challenge Europe for Rutronik Racing, piloting GT3 cars in a competitive international field; he also competes in the DTM touring car championship for Red Bull Team ABT. His career spans 11 seasons from 2015 to the present, with 187 starts across multiple series, and he has competed regularly in both sprint and endurance racing at the national and international level.[1]

Engstler won the TCR Asia Series in 2018 and 2019 and took the 2021 TCR title in Germany before moving into GT and touring car racing at the international level. His record in GT World Challenge Europe comprises 37 starts with 3 wins and 9 podiums since 2023; in the DTM he has 36 starts with 2 wins and 3 podiums over the same period. He has also raced the Nürburgring 24 Hours seven times, taking two podiums, and contested the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the FIA World Touring Car Cup, where he finished 18th in the championship in 2021 with a single podium from 16 rounds.[2]

In GT World Challenge Europe Engstler regularly opposes two of the series' strongest competitors. He is closely matched with Ricardo Feller, a 2021 ADAC GT Masters champion who grades Platinum and has made 71 starts in this series. Against Maro Engel, the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion and another Platinum-graded driver with 87 starts in the series, Engstler typically finishes behind him. His career has included rare standout moments against significantly stronger opposition; he finished ahead of Sho Tsuboi, an elite professional and four-time Super GT champion, and at the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours his pace in the Red Bull Team ABT entry outpaced Max Verstappen's Mercedes entry.
