Ayhancan Guven is an established professional sportscar and touring-car driver, rated 5,712. He holds FIA Platinum grading, the highest professional categorisation in GT and endurance racing, denoting a full-time factory driver. His 2025 DTM championship represents the peak of a career built primarily in German touring cars and European GT competition since 2019.[1]
Guven's competitive record shows him as a front-runner among Platinum-graded professionals. In his most frequent rivalries he holds even records against multiple former national champions: 32 wins and 32 losses against Ricardo Feller across 64 shared races, 25 wins and 24 losses against Mirko Bortolotti in 49 races, and 29 wins and 20 losses against Lucas Auer, also in 49 races. He has finished ahead of Maro Engel, a much stronger driver rated 6,736, in 16 of their 53 encounters, establishing a pattern of competitiveness at the top tier of his class. He leads Thierry Vermeulen, an accomplished Gold-graded professional, 33 to 22 across 55 shared races. His weakness shows most clearly against Arjun Maini, whom he trails 33 to 16 in 49 races. The DTM formed his core; 40 starts there for Manthey EMA yielded 5 wins and 7 podiums, culminating in the 2025 title. He has raced GT World Challenge Europe 18 times for Schumacher CLRT without a win, achieved 2 wins and 4 podiums across 13 ADAC GT Masters starts in 2022, and competed in endurance racing at Nürburgring, Le Mans and other venues with occasional podium results.
Guven is now expanding into top-level sportscar competition. He joined the WEC for 2026 with Manthey DK Engineering and competed in the Rolex 24 with IMSA; he also raced Bathurst in 2024 and 2025, taking a win at the latter. His 2025 DTM success has prompted attempts to develop him toward single-seater racing, and the recent headlines confirm his preparation for a Le Mans debut. With eight seasons of racing and an average finishing position of 8.3 across 113 starts, he represents a professional driver transitioning from national prominence to international sportscar platforms.
