Francisco Longo competed in the World Endurance Championship in 2012, a single-seater driver who made one appearance in professional sportscar racing. He finished third in his sole WEC start, driving for AF Corse-Waltrip, a Ferrari team that had fielded several drivers and secured multiple race victories in the championship.[1]
In that single race, Longo qualified ahead of three established professionals; he beat Markus Palttala, an FIA Gold graded driver; Joël Camathias, an FIA Silver graded driver; and Paul Daniels, all of whom had stronger rating profiles than his own. The result itself was notable; however, with only one race in the record, no pattern of sustained competitiveness can be drawn. Longo's career on record ended in 2012 and he is now retired.
