George Ellis is a developing amateur racer competing in SCCA national single-class racing. He drives Mazda Miatas in the SM and SMT classes of SCCA Regionals and has made five starts in SCCA Majors, a multiclass championship mixing amateurs and graded professionals on the same track. His rating of 1,195 places him among drivers early in their competitive careers.[1]

Ellis has raced four full seasons in SCCA Regionals from 2022 through 2025, taking one win and two podiums across 32 starts. He has been active in 2026, where he sits 66th in the Regionals championship standings after seven rounds run to date, carrying one win and two podiums into the remainder of the season. His Majors campaign remains limited at five starts across three seasons.[2]

His regular opponents in the Regionals are club-level drivers Sam Nogosek and competitive amateur Gordon Kuhnley, both with significantly more starts in the series; Ellis typically finishes behind them.
