Tom Brown competes at competitive amateur level in national multiclass sprint racing across SCCA Majors, SCCA Regionals and NASA championships. He races solo in a range of production-based machinery; his primary categories are the AS class V8 pony cars and the SM class spec Mazda Miatas, with occasional starts in SCCA Regionals ITA and STL classes. His record spans a full eight seasons from 2016 to the present.[1]

Brown has won 16 races across 99 starts. His strongest results cluster in SCCA Regionals, where he has taken nine wins and nineteen podiums in thirty-five starts; in SCCA Majors he has six wins and thirteen podiums from fifty-seven starts over the same period. His single win in NASA competition came in the Spec Miata class in 2016. He competed in the SCCA Runoffs, the series' national championship, four times between 2020 and 2025, with a most recent start in 2025.[2]

Brown races most regularly against entry-level professional and club-level drivers. He typically finishes ahead of club competitors such as Senter Smith but behind the stronger opposition on the grid; Tyler Brown, a two-time SCCA Majors SM champion and entry-level professional, is a regular opponent whom Brown usually trails. Brown has finished ahead of Matthew Payne, an established professional and FIA Gold driver with a Supercars Championship record, twice, and has beaten Connor Zilisch, an established professional Gold driver with NASCAR Cup and Xfinity series experience, once in their meetings.
