Ira Paskow competed in NASA racing during 2012, completing four starts without recording a win or podium finish. His average finishing position across classified starts was 4.5, placing him in the developing band of the Racer Rating scale; this rating of 1,063 indicates a driver at the entry level of competition, racing against club and regional fields rather than among established professionals. His sole season produced no wins and no finishes in the points.[1]
In his limited racing, Paskow finished ahead of Gar Robinson on two occasions; Robinson has since become a professional endurance driver, winning three consecutive IMSA WeatherTech LMP3 championships. Paskow also beat Carlos Mendez, Andrew von Charbonneau, and Alex Bolanos once or twice each. These isolated results against drivers who would later establish themselves at higher levels are noteworthy chiefly because they occurred early in their careers rather than because they reflect a sustained competitive advantage. Paskow raced for team FL, which fielded 94 drivers across its history and produced Ernie Francis, Jr., a professional-level competitor.
