Carlos Mendez is a semi-professional racer competing in NASA club racing, a national multiclass championship that runs up to 15 classes in a single race. He drives spec BMW E30 3-series machinery in the Spec E30 class, production street cars in Super Touring 5, and open-specification closed-wheel cars in Super Unlimited. His primary team is team 5, for whom he has started 29 times.[1]

Mendez has contested 100 starts across 12 indexed seasons from 2012 to 2026, almost entirely in NASA. He has recorded 22 wins and 71 podiums, with the bulk of his activity in the Spec E30 class where he has raced consistently throughout his career. His 2026 season, still in progress after ten rounds, shows him sitting seventh in the championship standings with one win and eight podiums so far. A single podium finish in BMW CCA Club Racing in 2015 completes his record.[2]

In a field mixing amateur and semi-professional competitors with graded professionals, Mendez runs mid-field against established regulars.
