Sandro Espinosa is a semi-professional racing solo in national multiclass amateur and semi-professional sprint championships. He competes primarily in NASA, where he drives production-based cars classed by power-to-weight in the PTD, PTE and Spec E30 classes, and also races BMW CCA Club Racing in Spec E46 BMW 3-series. Over 15 seasons from 2012 onward, he has taken 97 wins and 171 podiums across 270 starts, with a Racer Rating of 2,842 placing him in the semi-professional band; he won NASA championships in 2014, 2015 and 2017, each time driving a BMW 325i.[1]

Espinosa's record is built on consistency across NASA's multiclass grid. He has made 204 starts there with 76 wins and 137 podiums, establishing himself as a regular frontrunner in a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. BMW CCA Club Racing has been his secondary focus since 2019, with 46 starts yielding 19 wins and 29 podiums in the Spec E46 class. He contested American Endurance Racing from 2015 to 2020, a multiclass endurance series with shared-driver cars across classes 2, 3 and 4, taking 2 wins and 4 podiums from 14 starts. A single-season Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA campaign in 2021 with TR3 Racing produced one podium from six starts. His 2026 season is still in progress; he currently sits 28th in NASA's championship standings with one win and one podium from two rounds raced so far.[2]

In the fields where Espinosa races most frequently, he typically finishes ahead of competitive amateurs and developing drivers. Mark Issa, a Bronze-graded competitive amateur active across NASA, BMW CCA and endurance racing, is a regular opponent who Espinosa usually beats. Scott Gress, a developing driver with 279 NASA starts, remains behind him. Espinosa has finished ahead of stronger opposition; he beat Giano Taurino, a professional and 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA Pro champion with 48 starts in that series, once across their shared racing.
