Jeff Wood is an American former race car driver from Wichita, Kansas. He began his racing career in the 1970s, earning Formula Atlantic Rookie of the Year honors in 1977. Wood competed across multiple racing series throughout his career, including driving for Carl Haas in CanAm during 1981 and making his CART debut in 1983 at the Caesars Palace Grand Prix for Dan Gurney. He achieved notable success in endurance racing and won the 1985 Formula Atlantic West Series championship.[1]
Wood's later competitive activity included starts in the Trans-Am TA2 series between 2019 and 2021. Over the course of six TA2 starts, he did not record any wins or podium finishes. His most recent racing activity came in 2021 in the Trans-Am TA2 series, where he finished P58 in one round. Wood is now retired from professional motorsport competition.[2]
