Jeff Wood is a semi-professional driver racing in NASA, a national multiclass sprint championship where amateur and professional entrants share the track across 15 classes. Wood drives for Mazda Miata and competes in three of its classes: American Iron V8 pony cars, Spec Iron 2005-2010 Mustang GTs, and Spec Miata. He has also raced Trans-Am TA2 and currently competes in the Zenith Racing Series, an endurance championship where cars are shared between drivers.[1]

Wood has spent 16 indexed seasons in racing, beginning with NASA in 2010. Across his career he has started 137 times, taken 18 wins and 56 podiums, all but one of those starts coming in NASA. His record in NASA alone spans 130 starts from 2010 to 2026, with 18 wins and 56 podiums across its multiclass field. He made a brief foray into Trans-Am TA2 between 2019 and 2021 with six starts. This year he has also begun racing in the Zenith Racing Series, where he sits 25th in the standings after one round.[2]

Wood typically finishes mid-field in NASA's multiclass grid. He runs closely with Robin Burnett, a competitive amateur regular, and usually finishes behind Wyatt Wood, another competitive amateur he meets frequently in the same series. He has beaten Mike Skeen, a professional and 2020 Trans-Am TA2 champion, once; Skeen's record across IMSA WeatherTech, Trans-Am TA2 and endurance racing runs to nearly 100 starts at much higher levels of competition.
