Jisu Kim is a club-level driver competing in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass racing in the United States. Kim races Spec Racer Ford sports cars in the SRF3 class of the SCCA Regionals and Majors series, where up to 25 classes share a single race. Kim has been racing since 2022.[1]
Across four seasons, Kim has taken three wins and ten podiums from 48 starts, with the majority of racing in the SCCA Regionals. The two championships are separated by seniority; early SCCA Majors entries in 2022 and 2023 were followed by a sustained Regionals campaign from 2022 through 2025. Kim currently sits 95th in the 2025 SCCA Regionals standings after one round.[2]
In a field of semi-professional regulars and club drivers, Kim typically finishes behind Sam Schechter, a semi-professional with 64 SCCA Regionals starts and experience in the Runoffs. Kim has nonetheless outfinished Schechter on occasion, and more consistently runs ahead of Keith Fraser, another club competitor. Kim has also finished ahead of Steven Thomas, a professional and 2025 International GT CAY3.8 champion who holds Bronze FIA grading and competes in IMSA, though Thomas has appeared in only a handful of SCCA Regionals entries.
