John Connelly is a developing amateur racer competing in national pro-am multiclass sprint racing. He races Porsches in PCA Club Racing and production-based cars in SCCA Regionals ITA and Spec Miata classes, competing on grids that mix amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals.[1]
Connelly raced for three seasons from 2022 to 2024, with 13 starts across PCA Club Racing and SCCA Regionals. He took one podium finish in that time and finished 54th in the SCCA Regionals championship standings in his final season. He typically finished ahead of fellow developing driver Todd Etchieson but consistently behind entry-level professional Adam Smalley, a Gold-graded driver with experience in SCCA Regionals, GT World Challenge Europe and British GT Championship.
