John Coulter is a developing-level driver who raced in NASA, an American multiclass sprint championship mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals across 15 classes in a single race. He competed in American Iron and Spec Iron classes, driving V8 pony cars and specification Mustang GTs, primarily for a Ford team that has fielded 48 drivers across the index.[1]

His indexed record spans 8 starts across four seasons from 2012 to 2017. He took two podiums and finished 12th in the 2017 NASA championship standings, his final season of racing on record.[2]

Coulter typically finished behind his most regular opponents in the series. He raced alongside Robert Miller, a competitive amateur with 108 NASA starts, and Carmine Pace, a club-level driver with 60 starts; both proved faster in the majority of their meetings. His podium finishes came against Robert Miller twice and against Allen Thornton, a club-level driver with 16 NASA starts and occasional SCCA Regionals entries.
