Mark Reed is a developing-level driver who raced in two national American multiclass championships over a 16-year span. He competed in NASA from 2007 to 2017, driving Ford Mustang GTs in the American Iron and Spec Iron classes, and then moved to PCA Club Racing from 2016 to 2022, where he piloted Porsches across the GTB1, GTD1 and J classes. He retired after the 2022 season.[1]
Across 59 starts, Reed took two wins and eleven podiums; both wins came in PCA Club Racing. In his final season of PCA Club Racing in 2022, he finished 43rd in the championship standings after seven rounds and took one podium.[2]
Reed typically finished behind the regular opponents he raced most often; Landon Ball and Robert Miller, both with substantially more NASA starts, were quicker in their shared outings. He did beat semi-professional drivers Joel Johnson and Cody Powell on occasion, giving him scattered results against stronger competition in a field that mixed amateurs with graded professionals.
