Juan Jover Sañes, from Barcelona, was a Spanish racing driver who made a single start in Formula 1 during 1951 in a Maserati. He finished twentieth in his only race, a result that represented the limit of his recorded competitive activity. Jover shared the distinction of being among the first Spanish drivers to reach Formula 1, pioneering the entry of Spanish motorsport talent into the sport's highest category alongside his compatriot Paco Godia.[1]
Jover's career on record encompassed only one season and one start. He raced for Maserati, a team that would field 86 drivers across its history and win nine races; his teammate in competitive terms included some of the era's strongest drivers, though his own single appearance left no record of sustained competition. He has since retired from racing.[2]
