🇺🇸 Kelly Childress

Kelly Childress is a club-level driver who raced in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass championships in the United States. She competed primarily in NASA's Spec E30 class, driving a spec BMW E30 3-series, across seven seasons from 2007 to 2013, and also raced BMW CCA Club Racing in the same machinery.[1]

Childress took one win and ten podiums across 41 starts. Her single victory came in NASA, where she finished 29th in the championship standings in her final season of 2013, which included three podiums from five rounds. She also recorded two podiums in three BMW CCA Club Racing starts in 2009. Against regular opponents in her primary series, she was closely matched with Charles Taylor, a developing driver with over 200 NASA starts, and typically finished behind Robert Patton, who had substantially more experience across both NASA and BMW CCA Club Racing.[2]

She occasionally finished ahead of stronger drivers in the field, including entry-level professional Michael Skeen and semi-professional Sandro Espinosa, though these were rare instances within their much broader records. The bulk of her racing came in a field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with occasional graded professionals, where she competed at the middle tier of the grid.
