Ken Shearen raced in NASA, a multiclass sprint championship contested across fifteen classes on the same track. Driving a spec BMW E30 in the Spec E30 class, Shearen made five starts over two seasons between 2012 and 2014 and finished 68th in the championship standings.[1]
Shearen finished behind his most frequent competitors, Allan Hauser and Steven Stepanian, both club-level racers with substantially more starts in the series. He beat Rius Billing, another developing driver, once across their meetings. The field in Spec E30 ranged from amateur entrants to club-level racers with significant experience in the class.[2]
