🇺🇸 Loni Unser

Loni Unser is a competitive amateur racing in national solo-sprint and endurance championships in the United States. She competes across multiple series: NASA's multiclass grid in production-based and spec Miata machinery since 2017, the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup for Hixon Motor Sports from 2019 to 2021, and most recently in shared-car endurance racing for Kellymoss in GT4 America's Silver class GT4 cars and the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America Cayman series. Her FIA Silver grade places her as a developing professional within endurance racing.[1]

Unser has raced 93 starts across seven seasons. Her record in NASA, where she has spent the bulk of her career, puts her among the midfield in a field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals; she has finished behind multiple NASA champions including Daniel Williams, who has won four Spec Miata and Super Touring titles across his 323 NASA starts. Against Charley Williams, a developing driver with 133 NASA starts, she has remained closely matched. Her three career podiums came in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America Cayman series in 2025. In the 2021 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, her most recent indexed single-seater campaign, she finished 18th in the championship standings.[2]

In her current endurance-racing work, Unser has shared the grid with established professionals. She has finished ahead of Aaron Jeansonne, an FIA Silver professional with 56 Whelen Mazda starts and experience in Porsche Carrera Cup competition, three times, and has beaten Luca Mars, a professional and Silver-graded driver who won the 2024 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and 2025 IMSA Pilot Challenge titles, twice in their meetings.
