Lourenço Beirão da Veiga is a retired Portuguese racing driver who competed in single-class touring car racing. He was FIA Silver graded, a categorisation that places him below the full-professional Gold and Platinum grades in endurance and sportscar racing. His sole indexed season came in 2008, when he made two starts in the World Touring Car Championship for SUNRED Engineering.[1]
His complete record consists of those two rounds in the WTCC, finishing 22nd in the championship standings. In that limited campaign, he finished ahead of Nicola Larini, an established professional with extensive experience across the WTCC, Formula 1 and International Formula 3000, and Robert Dahlgren, a professional with a career in touring car racing. SUNRED Engineering, the team that fielded him, had taken a race win across its history and counted established professional Norbert Michelisz among its drivers.[2]
