He raced in a field that included several stronger drivers, most notably Bryson Morris, who won the 2021 Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series Championship and an FIA Silver grading. Titus Sherlock, later to win the 2025 Formula Regional Americas championship and also graded FIA Silver, appeared alongside Steele in the same twelve races and prevailed in ten of them.[1]
