Alex Benavitz is a semi-professional racing single-seater formula cars in national American championships. He races for Crosslink/Kiwi Motorsport and competes primarily in Formula Regional Americas and US F4, alongside prior seasons in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series.[1]
Benavitz took two wins and three podiums across the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series in 2021, his entry-level season. He has since moved through US F4 and into Formula Regional Americas, where he is currently active; his 2023 US F4 campaign yielded 15 starts and a 15th-place finish in the final standings. His record spans 38 starts over four seasons from 2021 to the present, operating in fields that mix amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals.[2]
In Formula Regional Americas he regularly races against Titus Sherlock, the 2025 series champion and an entry-level professional, and typically finishes behind him. Against James Lawley, a semi-professional peer who won the 2023 SCCA Regionals F4 title, Benavitz usually finishes ahead. He has beaten Hannah Greenemeier, a professional who races for his own team Crosslink/Kiwi Motorsport and competes in IMSA series, on seven occasions, though she has raced significantly more widely than he has.
