Michael Dale is a developing-level amateur racer who competed in NASA's Spec Miata class, driving a Mazda MX-5 Miata in the organisation's national multiclass championship from 2020 to 2023. He accumulated 38 starts across four seasons before retiring from the series.[1]

Dale's record across his NASA tenure placed him consistently mid-field among Spec Miata entrants. He regularly finished behind established competitors such as John Allen, a Bronze-graded competitive amateur with over 180 NASA starts, and John Poppenhouse, another developing-level regular. His best results came against drivers moving through the series at higher levels; he finished ahead of Aryton Grim, a semi-professional who has also raced SCCA Majors and Regionals, on four occasions, and took one result over Kamden Hibbitt, an entry-level professional with experience across NASA, SCCA Majors and the Zenith Racing Series.[2]
