Steve Locke is a developing-level driver who raced in NASA, a multiclass national championship in the United States. He competed in the Spec Miata class, piloting a Mazda MX-5 Miata in spec trim, and retired after the 2022 season.[1]
Locke recorded 38 starts across five indexed seasons from 2016 to 2022, all in NASA competition. He finished 124th in the championship standings in his final season, a 12-round campaign in 2022.[2]
In a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals in the same races, Locke was closely matched with Scott Deffebach, a club-level regular. He more often finished behind Phillip McCammon, another club-level opponent. Locke finished ahead of Shehan Chandrasoma, a Silver-graded entry-level professional and 2022 Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA Am champion, on four occasions, and ahead of Taylor Hagler, a Bronze-graded entry-level professional and two-time IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion, seven times across their meetings in NASA.
