🏳️ Michael Marvuglio

Michael Marvuglio was a developing amateur racer whose career consisted of a single season in American Endurance Racing during 2015. His rating of 948 places him at the entry level of competitive racing, the point at which drivers are building experience in club and regional fields. Across four starts in endurance competition that year, Marvuglio scored two podium finishes and averaged a fourth-place result, demonstrating occasional competitiveness within his field despite never securing an outright victory.[1]

Throughout his four races, Marvuglio faced a consistent group of amateur rivals; he finished ahead of Ben Greisler, Dave Flogaus, Martin Bullen, Michael Dion, and Steve Herchenrider, Sr. once each, but trailed each of them in three of their shared outings. Among his competitors was Jeff Caldwell, who went on to win the 2015 American Endurance Racing Class Daytona championship and the 2016 American Endurance Racing Class 4 title, though Marvuglio finished behind him in three of their four meetings. On rare occasions, Marvuglio's results placed him ahead of drivers with stronger credentials elsewhere; he beat Andrew Wikstrom, a former American Endurance Racing Class 5 and Class A champion, once, and surpassed Jesse Lazare, an FIA Silver graded driver and McLaren Trophy America Pro-Am champion, in a single race. These were isolated performances rather than consistent patterns, however. Marvuglio is now retired from racing.
