Mike Bakinowski races in SCCA regional and national championships in the United States at club level, competing in the SRF3 class of one-design Spec Racer Ford sports racers in multiclass events. He has been active for six seasons from 2021 to 2026, with 74 starts across SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, where both series field amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals on the same grid.[1]
His record shows three wins and fourteen podiums across his indexed career. In 2026, his most active season to date, he has taken five podiums through ten rounds so far and currently sits sixteenth in the championship standings with more rounds still to come. His wins and podiums have come primarily in SCCA Regionals, where he has taken three wins from 52 starts; his 22 starts in SCCA Majors have yielded no wins, though he has accumulated podiums across both series.[2]
Bakinowski competes regularly against club and competitive amateur drivers in his class. He has finished ahead of Peter Dempsey, a professional driver with significant experience in Indy NXT and Star Mazda, and Denny Stripling, an entry-level professional who has raced in GT4 America and European endurance series, though these remain single instances among their respective head-to-head meetings.
