Craig Chase races club-level single-seater racing in the SCCA's regional and national championships. He drives one-design Spec Racer Ford sports racers in the SRF3 and SRFx classes. His primary series is SCCA Regionals, where he has raced since 2022.[1]
Across five seasons through 2026, Chase has taken 13 wins and 35 podiums from 98 starts. In SCCA Regionals he has won 13 times from 61 starts with 34 podiums, establishing himself as a consistent front-runner in that series; his 2023 SRFx championship came from that foundation. His record in SCCA Majors, the national-level multiclass championship, is markedly different: 36 starts have yielded a single podium, placing him well outside the front-running cohort in a stronger field. He made his sole appearance in the SCCA Runoffs in 2025.[2]
In the regular SCCA Regionals field, Chase typically finishes ahead of club-level competitors including Ethan Bentinck-Smith and the developing-level driver Thomas Kirchman, both of whom have raced the series extensively. He has finished ahead of entry-level professionals Evan Slater and Brayton Williams, though infrequently; Slater has competed in Trans-Am TA2 and Radical Cup alongside his SCCA entries, while Williams holds FIA Bronze grading and has raced in GT World Challenge America. The gap between Chase's Regionals record and his Majors results reflects the difference in field strength between those championships.
